New 17" MacBook Pro
I"m thinking, it's pretty sexy, and I've never been happy with my Black MacBook since I got it, so I think it's time to go back to a MacBook Pro. With Apple releasing the new 17" MacBook Pro with the new Unibody design and up to 8-hour battery, I'm thinking "fuck it, i'll spend the extra cash and get something decent".

Taking out the firewire 400 port has really turned me off of buying another MBP. Sure the MBP has a Firewire 800 port, but I really need 2 firewire ports for the work I do. Without 2 firewire ports its just an internet and word document machine for me. Practically useless. I might as well save $1000 and get a macbook.
Great blogs by the way. I'm contemplating going to Korea for a year so your k blog is a nice resource.

since Firewire is backwards compatible, you can get a Firewire 800/Firewire 400 cable, to connect your Firewire 400 devices into a Firewire 800 connection.
